Director of Sports
 
The Director is appointed by the Minister and reports to the Board of the Council. He/she has overall responsibility for the implementation of policies which are laid down by the Board and also for the day-to-day operations and general administration of the Council.
 
At present the Director has the responsibility for over two hundred and seventy staff, one hundred and two playing fields, seventy pavilions and seventy hard courts.
 
The director s assisted by a management staff comprising a Deputy and Assistant Director, senior executive officer, Accountant, senior Technical Officer, Superintendent  at the National and Netball Stadia and Personnel Officer.
 
 
 
 
 
Mr. Neil Murrell Deputy Director of Sports
 
Assists the Director in the general management of the Council.
 
Responsible for the capital Works Programme and Special Projects;
 
Preparation of quarterly and annual reports;
 
Responsible for Human Resource Management of the Council and
 
Any other duties that may be assigned by Management
Ms. Mona Alleyne, Assistant Director of Sports
 
Assist the director of Sports in carrying out the policies and programmes of the Council and in the genera supervision of physical facilities under the Council’s control.
 
Co-ordinate the work of all coaches and to assume the responsibility of planning of sporting and recreational facilities.

To implement, construct and manage major   capital work projects as indentified by the Council
 
To maintain and repair all plant and equipment owned and managed by the National sports Council
 
To ensure that the technical requirement of the programmes of the council are met
 
To regulate, supervise and exercise the proper use of the plant and equipment owned by the Council
 
To report any damage to vehicles and equipment

Assist with planning, policy formulation;
 
Assists with recruitment,
 
Selection and orientation; process and maintain employee records;
 
Co-ordinate and advise on training programme;
 
Manage occupational health and safety;
 
Assist with union negotiations
Senior  Accountant, Ms. Juliet  Cumberbatch
 
To advise the Director on financial matters.
Implementing cash management strategies.
Preparation of the annual estimates, monthly and yearly statements of accounts.
Managing of the accounting, audit and budgetary matters of the Council, including accounts receivables, and payables, bank  reconciliations and budget forecast.
Supervising the staff of the Accounts Departments
Developing and maintaining of finance systems [computerization] and the overall management of the Council’s accounts.
Ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.
